About Me:Doug has been a REALTOR® since 1978. Starting his career in Sherwood Park Alberta. Doug traded real estate there for 21 years and moved home to Halifax in October 1997. In 1999 Doug started Royal LePage Anchor Realty. It was a slow start building the company but over the years it has grown to 53 real estate sales professionals working out of five different office locations throughout the region. About Me:Born and raised in Halifax, I am a proud first generation Scot. After graduating from Acadia University, I worked in radio as a news broadcaster at various stations around the Maritimes. Following that I worked with Sport Nova Scotia as an organizer of the 1991 Atlantic Coast Games. During the early 1990's, I was the General Manager of a medical delivery company which allowed me to work in Newfoundland for a number of years. In 1996, I began my career in Real-Estate sales with Royal LePage. From 1997 until 2009, I served on the Board of Directors of one of the largest condo corporations in HRM, I was the president for 2 years. During this time some major renovation projects were carried out to the building. Single family homes, condos, multi-unit buildings, recreational properties and farms are all categories that I enjoy dealing with. Historic homes are of particular interest to me.
